The 48^th meeting of National Consultative Committee of the Mongolian Democratic Party (DP) was held yesterday (16^th of November). Top on the agenda was the issue of who should lead the troubled party. According to "caretaker" G.Erkhembayar , former MP and Parliamentary Speaker Z.Enkhbold would stay on as  leader of the party until  successor is chosen. The next DP convention will be held on 6^th of October.

Z.Enkhbold resigned as party leader following the crushing defeat of the Mongolian Democratic Party (DP) in the election. The DP retained only nine seats in the 76-seat Great Khural (Parliament), in the election, which took place on 29th June.
