The 48th meeting of National Consultative Committee of the Mongolian Democratic Party (DP) was held yesterday (16th of November). Top on the agenda was the issue of who should lead the troubled party. According to "caretaker" G.Erkhembayar , former MP and Parliamentary Speaker Z.Enkhbold would stay on as leader of the party until successor is chosen. The next DP convention will be held on 6th of October.
Z.Enkhbold resigned as party leader following the crushing defeat of the Mongolian Democratic Party (DP) in the election. The DP retained only nine seats in the 76-seat Great Khural (Parliament), in the election, which took place on 29th June.
