On 21st October, Presidential Administration announced that Mongolian opera singer G.Ariunbaatar is to be awarded the highest state award, the Order of Chinggis Khaan. He will receive the medal from President Ts.Elbegdorj on 31st of October, which is the ‘Day of Mongolian Pride’. In 2012, Parliament decided that the first day of the first month of winter according to the lunar calendar will, every year, will be marked as the Mongolian Day of Pride.

Each year, public figures who have achieved success in politics, culture, sports, education and agriculture had been awarded the Chinggis Khaan medal by decree of Mongolian President.

Grand Prix Winner of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition, G.Ariunbaatar is a soloist at St Petersburg's Mariinsky Theater, the State Opera and Ballet Theater of Buryatia and the Mongolian Police ensemble ‘Suld’. He has toured the USA and Western Europe. During the tour, he performed at Buckingham Palace and he had dinner with the Royal family.
