The Chief of the Standing
Committee on Justice, D. Odbayar, told a press conference on Tuesday that the
committee discussed 45 issues in 15 meetings during the Spring session. Among
these were amendments to the law on administration cases, information
transparency, right to information and information freedom and rules on submitting
issues to Parliament.
The committee also discussed
preparation of draft laws on judicial reform, driver’s insurance, police
organization, electronic signature, advocating, firearms and a draft policy on
border points. All these are expected to be discussed in the Autumn session. The
committee is at work even between sessions as its work load is heavy.
