The Head of Ongi River Movement,
Ts. Munkhbayar, has expressed the fear that police have destroyed evidence of
ecological damage prepared by the union. He said the police had arrested
members of the union after Governors had asked them for cooperation, and had
seized such evidence, including a video, but have not given these back after
their release on bail on July 10.

He said their human rights had
not been violated under detention but emphasized that the detention itself had
been illegal. He thanked people for their support to the union activity and for
their concern about the country’s environment.
