The Mongolian Government (State Great Khural) will discuss the draft law for the 2017-2018 state budget tomorrow (25th August). According to the draft law, which has been submitted by B.Choijilsuren, Minister of Finance, social insurance contributions paid by both employee and employer will be increased by 5% in order to reduce pension fund deficits.
Currently, every employed Mongolian pays 20 percent of their income to social insurance premiums. The bulk of the population consists of people aged between 20 and 54 years.
