The Central Bank of Mongolia has announced its Monetary Policy Council’s decision to increase the bank’s policy interest rate by 4.5 percent – an increase to 15 percent. The policy interest rate has been at 10.5 percent since January 2015.  

The Mongolian inflation rate has been low, while, the tugrik weakened by 7.9% against US dollar in August . The balance of trade in Mongolia increased USD 602 million in first half of 2016 on last year.
