The Mongolian coal industry is facing difficulties as global coal prices continue to decline. However, Mongolian coal export has increased in first half of 2016 reaching an impressive 9.6 million tonnes. Mongolia currently ranks among the world's top coal exporting nations.  Australia and Indonesia lead the table. Mongolian annual coal export reached 14.4 million tonnes. This year, Mongolia is expecting to export 19 million tonnes.
