The Cabinet has approved agreements between Mongolia and Malta, as well as Mongolia and Croatia, under which citizens of the respective countries can travel up to 30 days without visa.

In 2014, the Cabinet of the Government of Mongolia passed a resolution allowing tourists from 42 African, European and Latin American countries including Malta, to travel to Mongolia without a visa. This resolution was valid for the years 2014-2015.
