The 3rd Northeast Asian Mayors Forum begins at the Tuushin hotel today (4th of August). The first Forum, held in 2014 in Ulaanbaatar, was initiated by the UB city mayor. Mayors from major cities will discuss green city development and eco energy solutions. Mayors from South Korea, Russia, Japan and Hungary major cities are participating the forum.
As a part of preparation of the forum, Beata Trautman, permanent ambassador of the UN to Mongolia will make a presentation under the title ‘the role of the city in meeting sustainable development goals’ as well as French Ambassador to Mongolia, Ms. Elizabeth Barsak, who will speak on the theme ‘against climate change – COP21’
