A shallow magnitude earthquake struck 58 km west of the Naranbulag soum in the western Mongolian province of Uvs on Sunday (7^th of August). According to the governor of Naranbulag, there are no reports of significant damage and citizens did not report feeling anything.

In June, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck the northwestern Mongolian province of Khovd. The epicenter was in a remote region near Khar-Us Lake in Khovd province. There were also no reports of significant damage.
