Mongolian athletes are competing at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August.This is Mongolia's 13th appearance at the Games, with the exception of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, because of its partial support in support of the Soviet boycott.
A total of thirteen Mongolian judokas have qualified for each of the weight classes at the Games. D.Tumurkhuleg competes in the men's -66 kg category with judokas from other 34 countries. He ranked 7th after Canadian judoka Antoine Bouchard. An international master of sports M.Urantsetseg ranked 5th in the women’s 48 kg category.
International master of sports Ts.Tsogtbaatar (men’s 60 kg category) and A.Tsolmon (women’s 52 kg category) are competing. Olympic medalist Naidangiin Tuvshinbayar will compete on 11th of August.
Today (8th of August) G.Odbayar (men’s 73 kg category) and D.Sumya (women’s 57 kg category) are wrestling.
