While wildfires are raging in the forests of Eastern Russia, the smoke is drifting down to Mongolia. Northern parts of Mongolia, especially the cities of Darkhan, Erdenet and Ulaanbaatar have been shrouded in grey smoke from the Siberian wildfires.

On July 20th, it was reported that 200 fires were burning over a vast territory of the  Krasnoyarsk Krai. Because of the wildfires, thick grey smoke covers the Irkutsk Oblast and 11 other Russian regions.
