UNESCO has included Mongol Naadam in its Intangible Heritage List. Visiting Director-General of UNESCO, Ms. Irina Bokova, handed over a certificate to this effect to Prime Minister S.Batbold on Saturday. Batbold expressed happiness at this international recognition given to Mongolian nomadic culture and civilization.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Government and UNEScO on the day.
