The 28th Congress of the Mongolian People’s Party has entered its second day (21 November) at the Central Palace of Cultural in Ulaanbaatar. The three-day meeting is being attended by 1,309 members of the party.
During the congress, Mongolia’s ruling party is to appoint a new leader. D.Khayankhyarvaa from the ‘32’ Group in parliament, along with Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, MP J.Munkhbat and N.Demberel were nominated for the top post. However, J.Munkhbat and N.Demberel have announced that they wish to quit the leadership race.
