2008 Beijing Olympics champion N.Tuvshinbayar was awarded the Order of Chinggis Khaan on Sunday (19 November).

Earlier, Kh.Battulga, President of Mongolia has signed a decree on awarding him the state prize of Mongolia named after Chinggis Khaan during the National Pride Day.

This award goes to people who have made a significant contribution in strengthening the independence and sovereignty of Mongolia and the unity of the Mongolian people, as well as promoting the historical and cultural heritage of Mongolia around the world.

N.Tuvshinbayar, who brought Mongolia its first Olympic gold medal, was born in 1984. He is well known as a 2008 Olympic champion, 2012 Olympic silver medalist, 2014 Asian games champion, 2015 world bronze medalist, 2016 Asian championship gold medalist, 2007 silver medalist and two-time (2008, 2011) bronze medalist in the -100 kg division.
