The 28th Congress of the Mongolian People’s Party began today (20 November) at the Central Palace of Cultural in Ulaanbaatar. The three-day meeting is being attended by 1,309 members of the party.
During the congress, the party is to appoint a new leader. According to some sources, D.Khayankhyarvaa from the ‘32’ Group in parliament, is expected to be a nominee for the top post, along with Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh and N.Demberel.
Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, MP D.Khayankhyarvaa and member of the MPP Conference N.Demberel are the most publicly known candidates for the post of party chairman.
