On the occasion of Chinggis Khaan’s birthday and National Pride Day, to be marked on 19 November, the highest state prize of Mongolia, the Order of Chinggis Khaan, is awarded to an individual who is deemed to have contributed outstandingly to the nation in the past year.

This year’s award will go to Olympic champion N.Tuvshinbayar. On 15 November, the Chief of Staff of the President’s Office announced the winner of the Order of Chinggis Khaan at the Citizen’s Chamber under the President of Mongolia. The award ceremony will be held at the State Palace on 19 November.

To date, a total of ten people have been awarded the Order of Chinggis Khaan, namely:

-Former Mongolian Prime Minister D.Byambasuren

-Social and political activist R.Gonchigdorj

-Former Mongolian President N.Bagabandi

-Former Member of Parliament D.Demberel

-Former Prime Minister D.Sodnom

– Famous academic, physicist Kh.Namsrai

-Famous poet G.Mend-Oyo

-State honoured artist, singer G.Ariunbaatar
