A young Mongolian woman, who is an Olympic bronze medalist judoka, has been named as one of Kazakhstan’s best athletes. The star in question is Asian champion G.Otgontsetseg, aged 24, who took bronze at the Rio Olympics representing Kazakhstan.

A poll entitled “Who is Kazakhstan’s best athlete?” is underway and G.Otgontsetseg is leading the nomination with 4880 points. The poll is organised by the Kazakh National Olympic Committee every year. A total of six athletes have been nominated.
