An eight-year-old Mongolian schoolgirl remains missing six days after she set off for school early last Thursday morning. The alarm was raised after D.Serjmyadag failed to return home from school on 2 November. Nearly 500 people have joined hunt in her hometown of Sainshand, which is the administrative centre of the Dornogovi Province and an important railway stop on the mainline to China.

The Police Department in the border town of  Zamyn-Uud has contacted the Mongolian Consulate in the Chinese city of Erin (Erenhot) and requested help in the hunt for Serjmyadag. Following the request, the Chinese police have now joined the hunt for the eight-year-old.
