U.Enkhtuvshin, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia received H.E. Iskander Azizov, Russian Ambassador to Mongolia on 7th of November.

Mr Enkhtuvshin noted the importance of organising the 21st meeting of the intergovernmental commission this year and calling the sub-commissions on regional and frontier cooperation as well as education and scientific cooperation to convene in near future. In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister said, Mongolia has full potential to export meat, woolen and cashmere items and leather products in large quantities, but there are some problems with Russian customs and tax-related matters.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on soft loans from Russia, and ongoing cooperation between the two countries in the rail, infrastructure, energy and environment sectors. Other topics discussed during the meeting included the programmes to be implemented within the Mongolia-Russia-China Economic Corridor Infrastructure Project.
