Ukrainian Ambassador Yurii
Kostenko called on President Ts.Elbegdorj on Thursday to present him with the
highest Ukrainian award, the Order of King Jaroslav, on behalf of the Ukrainian
President. In a speech on the occasion, the Ambassador noted that both the
Government and the people of Ukraine have high regard for the contribution of
President Elbegdorj to expansion of international cooperation in general and of
Mongolia-Ukraine relations in particular. The award was instituted in 1995 and
is conferred only on  heads of state.
