The Minister for Justice and Internal Affairs, Ts. Nyamdorj, and the
Minister for Social Security of China, Men Zyanju, today signed an agreement to
combat crime. China will give a grant five million yuan to the Mongolian Ministry.

The Mongolian Parliament is yet to ratify an agreement on transferring
convicted criminals to their home country signed during the visit of Prime
Minister S.Batbold to China. Some Mongolians are detained in Chinese prison on
drug related charges and arrangements to bring them back to Mongolia cannot be
made until Parliamentary approval is received.
