An open discussion on pressing social problems and the
ways to solve them was held yesterday at Government House. Prime Minister
S.Batbold, Ministers for Social Welfare and Labor T.Gandhi, for Health
S.Lambaa, for Education, Culture and Science Yo.Otgonbayar, Chief of the
Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science D.Ochirbat
and President of Science Academy B.Enkhtuvshin were among those who attended.
Lambaa later told our reporter that health sector has expanded
a lot since 2008 but several things have to be improved before services can be
said to reach world standards. He felt doctors should no longer be listed as
state officials. Their social benefits will be protected but their number might
be reduced.
