The members of the
Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science yesterday decided
to proceed with further discussion on the draft law submitted by President
Ts.Elbegdorj on financing students’ higher education through enhanced stipends
and social guarantees. Members felt granting every student a yearly stipend of
MNT70,000 will have two benefits: it will allow more students to study for
longer and also improve the quality of education.
