Speaker D.Demberel yesterday paid a visit to the Mongol Bank to see how it was implementing the state monetary policy and its other activities. He was accompanied by the chiefs of the Standing Committees on the Budget and on the Economy, D.Khayankhyarvaa and D.Zorigt respectively, his Advisor D.Davaasambuu and other officials.

The Director of the Monetary Policy and Research Section, D.Boldbaatar, and the Chief of the Monitoring Department, Kh.Delger, gave the visitors all information, with assistance from other senior officials and specialists. Foreign currency inflow increased by 5.3 times in 2010 over 2009 and by 2.7 times in the first four months of 2011 over the corresponding period last year. Boldbaatar explained how economic growth, foreign currency inflow, and loan increase have led to a stronger MNT in the foreign currency market.
