The Government yesterday decided to acquire 263,730 hectares of land in Khanbogd, Bayan-Ovoo, Khankhongor, Manlai and Tsogttsetsii soums of Umnugobi aimag for infrastructure development to serve the Oyutolgoi project. This will include roads, water pipes, electricity transmission lines, and communication stations. Oyutolgoi LLC would pay compensation to individuals and organizations that own land in the designated area or have conducted exploration work there.

Kh.Battulga, the Minister for Road, Transportation and Urban Development, and B.Badraa, Governor of Umnugobi aimag, have been asked to submit by September an amended plan of providing infrastructure facilities to the Oyutolgoi project.
