The head of the Air Quality Office, D.Munkhtsog, has announced that regulations to prevent the burning of raw coal are ready and will cover 11,000 households in areas marked as falling under a restricted zone. Their implementation is to be overseen together by the Mayor’s Office, the Clean Air Foundation, and organizations that will supply the smokeless fuel to be used by these households. They have concluded a trilateral agreement on this.

The regulations specify standards of stoves and heating methods and 484 inspectors would see that these are followed and to monitor the carbon emission level.
