About 30 Chinese businessmen from Erlian city joined their Mongolian counterparts at a meeting. They will now head for Russia to meet businessmen there.

Jao Lung said his Hao Gang Company has cooperated with Mongolian and Russian partners for 17 years. “We used to trade in fruits. Now we have a big storehouse in Erlian. We assort the best goods there and send it to Mongolia. Mongolians buy 120,000-130,000 tons of fruit each year. A laboratory has been established in Erlian. We are now discussing with Mongolia to have two customs officers work in our company,” he said.

Why do we not get more Chinese rice?

China does not export much rice and the amount is fixed by the Government.. What will our large population eat if we export all the rice?

The rice price is going up in Mongolia. Is it the same in China?

No. We did not raise our prices. Mongolian traders raise the price if there is low supply.

The Manager of a chemical factory said, “We are here to study the market to export construction materials to Mongolia and Russia.”
