The Center for Help to Citizens
in Human Rights, the National Center against Violence, and the Women’s
Foundation organized an open discussion on Monday in the Civil Chamber of the
President on protecting minors from sexual abuse. Representatives of the
Ministries of Health and of Education, Culture and Science, Ulaanbaatar Court, General
Police Department, National Commission of Human Rights, Institute of Court
Research and NGOs attended the meeting.

They discussed the various
situations where girls are liable to be sexually abused and wanted more centers
to offer medical help to victims of domestic violence. There were also
suggestions to include in school syllabi lessons on how to prevent domestic
violence.
