The International Day of UN Peace
Keepers was held in Sukhbaatar Square on May 28. Prime Minister S.Batbold,
Minister for Defense L.Bold, Chief of the Office of the President D.Battulga, and
other officials attended the ceremony where troops from peace keeping units and
Ulaanbaatar military units participated.

Under a decree issued by the
President and Commander General of the Armed Forces, Ts.Elbegdorj, commemorative
awards were presented to all personnel who took part in peace keeping operations
in Afghanistan. Other troops and officers were also awarded the Medal for
Peace.
