The DP organized on Sunday a discussion on its Mongol
Citizen 2020 program in Songinokhairkhan, the most populous district in
Ulaanbaatar. Similar discussions have already been held in four other districts
of the capital. MPs D.Batbayar and Batj. Batbayar, the Chief of the DP in Ulaanbaatar,
Sh.Tuvdendorj, and the head of the DP in the district, L.Erkhembayar, joined
residents in the discussion.

Erkhembayar opened the discussion with a report on the present situation in the
district, while Sh.Tuvdendorj stressed the need for citizens’ cooperation and participation
in any economic development program. This was widely welcomed by the participants
who made several complaints about bureaucracy in the state services, anomalies in
land distribution and ownership, health care, lack of schools and kindergartens,
roads and lighting in ger districts and inadequate SME loans.
