The first meeting of the Websites Union of Mongolia yesterday was attended by representatives of 60 organizations, most of which provide news on their sites. This type of journalism is new in Mongolia and the participants discussed their work and problems. The Deputy Director of www.news.mn, D.Narantuya, and the Chief of the Computer Section of www.mongolnews.mn, N.Ikhmandal, spoke on achievements and difficulties of electronic journalism in Mongolia.

Participants agreed on the need for their websites to be more professionally run, to improve journalists’ skills, to be more techno savvy, and to pay more attention to respecting intellectual property rights.
