The Commission for Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation between the Governments of Mongolia and Finland held its 11th meeting in Helsinki on April 28 and 29. Minister for Social Welfare and Labor T.Gandhi and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Esko Hamilo, headed their respective teams.

The meeting discussed the two countries’ social and economic development programs and exchanged opinion on bilateral relations and cooperation.

The two sides agreed to cooperate in dissemination of environment friendly technology in production, to provide stable economic development and to adopt European Union’s standard and measures in Mongolia.

The Mongolian delegation also held meetings with several other officials to discuss cooperation in the fields of education, culture, science, environment, renewable energy, mineral resources and geology, social welfare, labor and health.

The next meeting of the commission will be held in Ulaanbaatar in 2013.
