The UN Economic Social Council last week decided to include Mongolia as a member of the UN Statistical Commission. This is the first time Mongolia is joining the 24-member international body. It will have seven other new members this year – the USA, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Niger, Tanzania, Cuba and Oman.
