The Ministry for Minerals and Energy has agreed to a proposal to raise the price of coal by MNT4,000 per ton. The decision follows the already announced increase in non-household heating and electricity tariffs from January 15.

Coal mines demanded an increase in prices last autumn, but this was rejected by the Government.
