As part of the observance of the 60th anniversary of the international convention on the protection of migrants” human rights, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the Union of Parliamentary Assistants jointly organized a training on migrants’ issues for staff of MPs last weekend. UNHCR staff spoke on the convention adopted in 1951, its objectives, and main provisions. They also showed videos of refugee camps to make participants understand what protection measures are required.
