City lighting is set to improve with use of new technology and under new management. The General Manager of Ulaanbaatar, Ch.Bat, recently concluded an agreement with certain companies to this effect. The companies have been selected in an open tender to work in six districts. A central management system will be responsible for lighting in entire Ulaanbaatar after the companies are finished with repairs and new installations.
Besides, Bat said, the city administration has announced a competition among organizations to improve lighting in their area and its results will be announced on October 23. He called upon citizens to cooperate with the state.
