After a preliminary discussion, Parliament on Friday decided by 82.5%
voting to further consider amendments to the Criminal Law. The
amendments propose a fine of between 100 and 250 times of minimum salary
or detention for between 3 and 6 months for misuse of state funds in
buying goods and services. The detention period can go up to 5 years
depending on the extent of the loss to the state.

Members wanted the Chief of the Standing Committee on State Structure to
indicate more clearly what the punishment should be for unfair
selection following a tender.
