Minister for Social Welfare and Labor T.Gandhi yesterday received the Under-Secretary-General of the UN and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific, Ms. Noleen Heyzer, and told her that the country’s major problems were poverty, unemployment, urban migration, and population concentration  in a few centers. These were also holding back adequate social welfare and pension measures. Ms. Heyzer offered UN support in resolving all these problems.
