The MPP group in Parliament yesterday discussed implementation of the Government program between 2008 and 2012 and basic socio-economic trends at the moment. Group chief D.Lundeejantsan told media that the Chairman of the Cabinet Secretariat, Ch.Khurelbaatar, Ministers, Deputy Ministers and State Secretaries attended the meeting and reported on implementation of the work in their respective areas. It is estimated that 61% of the Government program and 81% of the basic policies have been implemented until now. There has been some setback because of the economic crisis and the needs to meet election promises made in 2008. They also indicated the number of working places to be generated during the present employment support year. Members sought information related to education, science, health, agriculture, mining, energy and construction sectors. They were particularly interested  in the progress of the programs to construct auto roads connecting aimags and to provide laptops to secondary school teachers.

The MPs set up a working group to study the issue of extending insurance and social insurance cover to herders.
