Minister for Foreign Affairs G.Zandanshatar paid a working visit to the UAE on April 5 and 6 after taking part in the first general assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency on April 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi. He called on UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and discussed with him ways to strengthen bilateral relations and to cooperate in energy, agriculture, mining and construction sectors. He invited the Sheikh to visit Mongolia at a time convenient to him. Sheikh Nahyan suggested signing an agreement to prevent double taxation as a step towards encouraging investment.

Zandanshatar also met with the Minister for High Education and Science, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and expressed hope that the number of Mongolian students in the UAE would increase. He also held talks with managing officials of the Nuclear Energy Corp of the UAE.
