A discussion at Government House earlier today heard MP and leader of a working group on a draft law on advocates submitted by the Government, Kh.Temuujin, and Deputy Minister for Justice and Internal Affairs, V.Udval, explain provisions of the draft and ask for feedback from the lawyers present.

Several papers were presented at the meeting. The one by D.Batsukh of the Advocates’ Union was on International Standards of Regulating the Practice of Law, that by the head of the Center for Public Legislation, Ts.Enkh-Tsengel, on How the Market Regulates Legal Services, and that by the head of the Center for Citizens’ Alliance, J.Zanaa, on Rights to be Legally Defended. Temuujin spoke on Judicial Reforms.
