A meeting held at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna on April 5 saw representatives of the member countries of the International Atomic Energy Agency, including Mongolia, holding a lively discussion on nuclear non proliferation and on the need to set up more nuclear arms free regions. Diplomats and scholars, including a former Foreign Minister of Austria, V.Par, gave their views. The Mongolian team was led by its Ambassador to Austria, J.Enkhsaikhan, who explained how his country’s foreign policy was aimed at strengthening regional and global security. 

 The meeting also discussed the state of preparation for a conference on the nuclear non proliferation treaty to be organized by the Mongolian Permanent Representatives’ Office.
