Prime Minister S.Batbold received on Wednesday a delegation of the London Stock Exchange (LSE) headed by its CEO, Xavier R. Rolet. The LSE has been selected to restructure the Mongolian stock exchange. Batbold said it was very important for Mongolia to develop its capital market, and hoped the deal with the LSE will prove to be fruitful. He hoped the LSE would introduce latest systems and technology, which would help attract foreign investments in mining and infrastructure, and arrange to train Mongolians to manage a modern and international capital market by themselves.

Rolet thanked the Prime Minister for the audience, and said the LSE had plans to train Mongolians at its own academy. He was sure their work will help Mongolian entities to access long-term and low-interest financial resources from domestic and foreign investors, and also to participate in 24-hour trading in the Ulaanbaatar-London-Toronto zone.
