Food Market, an NGO, has requested Parliament to urgently pass a law to establish an exchange for agricultural goods and raw material. Such a law has been under discussion since 2001 but is yet to be adopted.

The proposed exchange would do away with middlemen and will allow herders to deal directly with buyers of their goods and products. This would ensure fair prices for both and also improve product quality.
