Prime Minister S.Batbold led the Mongolian delegation at the annual three-day BFA Conference at the island resort of Boao. The theme this year was Green Recovery: Asia’s Realistic Choice for Sustainable Growth. Several Asian countries, including China and India, have managed economic growth, but sustaining this is still an issue. Over three days, participants debated Asian economic opportunities as the region moves towards low-carbon energy consumption.

The talks ranged widely from global economic governance, financial regulation and trade to regional financial cooperation in Asia, intra-Emerging Markets cooperation and rethinking over Asia’s growth paths. In catering to the needs of the business community, sessions were designed to address merger & acquisition, counter-cyclical strategies, deregulation, corporate governance, etc. in the post-crisis era.

The Prime Minister made a presentation on Mongolia’s commitment to a green economy as it goes for expansion of the mining sector.
