Mongolians and Cypriots can now travel to each other’s country without visa. This was among the several agreements signed in Nicosia yesterday between Mongolian Ambassador Ts.Gankhuyag and various officials of Cyprus. One of these was a memorandum of understanding between stock exchanges of the two countries, and another between their National Olympic Committees.

Mongolia and Cyprus established diplomatic relations in 1973 and the signing of the present agreements and memorandums is seen as a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations. Talks are in an advanced stage to sign a memorandum on health services, another on cultural heritage protection, another on supporting and protecting investment, and a last one on avoidance of double taxation.

Sixty Mongolians now live, work or study in Cyprus.
