Minister for Finance S.Bayartsogt visited Bayangol, Khuder and Yeruu soums and Bugant village of Selenge aimag over the weekend, explaining Government and Parliament policy to citizens, and studying local conditions. The main issues he dealt with were citizens’ shares in the Tavantolgoi deposit mines, the budget, Human Development Fund allowances and new laws.

Citizens asked about the state policy on employment and expressed unhappiness at the deteriorating condition of auto roads and school and kindergarten buildings, and at the lack of internet and mobile telephone facilities in remote settlements.

Bayartsogt told them the Government has issued loans worth MNT30 billion to small and medium enterprises to help generate employment. Besides, the Government of Japan has given a soft loan of MNT70 billion to support local employment and each aimag will get MNT800 million of this. He hoped aimag administrations would make proper use of this opportunity to benefit citizens.
