The decision on the application by the recently formed political group to call itself the MPRP will be delayed as the Supreme Court has sought the views of the Constitutional Court on whether the relevant law violates the Constitution or not. The MPP recently complained to the Sukhbaatar district court about the new group using the name and symbols of the now defunct MPRP. The court found an anomaly in the Law on Political Parties and referred the matter to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court decided on March 24 to submit the issue to the Constitutional Court.
