Prime Ministers S.Batbold and Kim Hwang-sik followed up their conversation without aides with official talks where the Mongolian side included Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade G.Zandanshatar, for Road, Transportation and Urban Development Kh.Battulga, for Health S.Lambaa, and for Education, Culture and Science Yo.Otgonbayar, as well as Deputy Speaker G.Batkhuu and the Ambassador to South Korea, D.Gerel.

Batbold underlined the significance of taking relations to a new stage. Citizens of both countries should be able to enter each other’s land without visa and conditions of freight movement also needed improvement. Prime Minister Kim said his Government had taken steps to help contract workers from Mongolia and has begun issuing professional qualification certificates to them.

Batbold wanted more scholarships for Mongolians to study in South Korea to become professionals in energy, geology, processing technology, medicine, engineering and agriculture. He noted the scope for larger South Korean investment in Mongolia in mineral resources exploitation and infrastructure. 

The Korean side wanted more flights between the two countries.
